i hate applying for jobs because the employers are always like: do you enjoy working in a stressful environment???? do you strive for unobtainable standards of perfection???? are you good at dealing with people that make you feel extremely uncomfortable??? do you mind losing real hours of your life in order to make minimum wage?? are you a fan of capitalism??? do you love selling your soul just so you can afford to live???
ive said it once and ill say it again but if you live in like . california or another state where lgbt shit is decently accepted please be mindful of the fact that others have it worse than you. Indiana very recently tried to pass laws that allow for same sex couples to be banned from restaurants, in lots of states conversion therapy is still legal, and gay people are still beat for simply existing. think about that please
not to mention in lots of countries its still very much illegal and people are killed for being lgbt

and tbh, even if you personally live in a homophobia-free bubble, people in the same city or state might still be facing horrifying homophobia by virtue of being in a different social circle or area. obviously this post is correct but even in places like california a person who doesn’t experience homophobia is facing a unique privilege.
